I thought i would pose the question. who is actually going to be at future this year..given the size of the stereo lineup and the artists not featured who have previously played at stereo, who is likely to show up on the future hit list? i have to put money on aoki and skrillex here maybe deadma5 or something like that. but frankly im lost. any ideas?

Thoughts on the artist list pretty much anybody who is anybody is coming to stereo this year it seems. which means it will probably be shit and time to stick to the side stages. some of the big names include: Guetta, Van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Marlo, Calvin Harris, Empire of the Sun etc etc etc full list here http://stereosonic.com.au/all-artists

Used one.... Just can't seem to work out how to squeeze the other in. And I'm out of time. The first verse fits in a few of the breakdowns, just mix it in with Audacity.. there's still time! hmmm audacity you say might ableton mix acca's good idea swear no eyes took me forever to get right. to make matters worse its my last track have had two clean mixes up to that point then fucked it up at no eyes..haha i still havent worked out how to record the mix yet.. as dont have an external soundcard 3.5mm port can switch between line out and line in on 13" macbook pro but if comp deadline is in like 4 days. even if i buy one now will it arrive in time? 2nd what is quality like? -

had my first go at this tonight and trainwrecked it i actually really like some of the songs. that rasputin track is so gusta. i too am struggling with the accapellas. i think its going to be alittle difficult slotting them in there without a midi device. i chopped them up using hot cue banks which allowed me some freedom but still pretty limited. like its abit half arsed when i know i have to get out of the accapella track to mix to the actual next track so its a challenge. we will see how we go. -
ok so ive been having some weird problems since updating the firmware. *source (music) randomly drops out when cued. like i can spin the jog wheel and i get nothing *more hotcue issues. when i load up track hotcues for sometracks, the cdj doesnt read things correctly from rekordbox and all the hotcue point either appear in one spot or fuck up and wont work. also getting mad bad latency when switching into loop hotcue any ideas?

finally got round to doing this and found that it fixed a hot cue issue i'de been having winning thanks mitch

So it seems I'm going to buy a 2nd had mac from a close friend. It seems a pretty good buy for about 900 2012 model i7 8gb ram 750gig hdd. The basic things I need, just going to buy a 256 ssd and have someone install it. Would this sound like a reasonable idea?
-
!wat Another random bump haha

I was going retina but heard that retina display was much heavier on battery use and heat output Also would be a late 2012/2013 pro model if not retina. Frankly to buy new is going to cost me 1900 and I don't quite have that... Refurb pro I wanted was at like 1290 or something. I figure what $2-300 for 256 ssd? If speed and battery is comparable IDE like to have the extra 400 and extended hdd storage available

I have no interest in the 15. I want something smaller on purpose. I used to have a 12' school laptop which was literally perfect for my needs. Frankly I don't need something that bulky.
-
So I've had some changes in the last few weeks. Decided to replace computer. I use predominantly macs at uni so decided to grab a pro Thinking about getting a refurb 13' i7 and installing ssd in optical drive + adding more ram. My question is once ssd is installed will it act as quickly (startup + general operation) as if say an equivalent powered mac with no sata drive in the machine (ie can I set ssd as primary drive?) Also is there anyone with the skills to do this as I do not have them?

I like the idea But that whole thing looked abit silly

Bring a crowd. Is honestly the best way to win no doubt. If you get them to cheer for u like crazy and then not cheer for the other people, send the prettiest girls you can bring to go occasionally chat to judges about how memorable and impressive your set was. Will go along way. But worst case. Just kill it with mad skills
