Hey all, I am looking at purchasing a beginners set up and originally had my eye on a pair of Pioneer CDJ-350's and a DJM 350, but I would like to buy brand new if I can. I think is smallest pioneers go now when buying the mixer and CDJ's separately are the 750/850 respectively (please correct me if I'm wrong). Which brings me to my next option. The Pioneer DDJ-SB2 controller. I originally wanted to purchase a mixer and CDJ's separately but the original outlay seems expensive, especially when I have never even tried my hand at beat matching. So, is the DDJ-SB2 a good option for someone who is just starting out, learning the ins and outs of beat matching, DJing, and playing and practicing in their house? Keep in mind though, I do eventually want to start playing gigs, as I am sure this will effect my equipment choice. All opinions and insight, welcomed and wanted!

@Jaz - I have no idea if I like other genres. I'm hopefully here to learn and find that out. Are all the artists you have listed House and Electro artists or are they from all different genres? I'll start searching! @eggssell - Thanks mate. I'll give that a whirl as well. I'll see what I can find.

Hey guys, Alright, I've only just started to listen to this "style" of music seriously in the last sort of 4-6 months. At the moment I am listening to and loving stuff like Deadmau5, Daft Punk, Avicii, Pendulum, David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia. I am also loving all the music on this Tomorrowland 2011 video: All I'm looking for is music similar to this or stuff that you think I would like based on what I am listening to at the moment.

Hey guys, Just thought I'd throw up a quick intro. 22 years old..I live in the in the Riverina, NSW. I've been playing bass for about 8.5 years and guitar on and off jamming in my bedroom for a few years. Also played in a couple of different metal bands over the years. I've recently taken an interest in DJing and the music that goes with it. I'm a flat out newbie when it comes to what genre/s I like but the music I have been listening to is Deadmau5, Daft Punk, Avicii, David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia to name a few... House seems like a good guess? I'm not really sure. I love all the music on this video. So, even if that gives you a better idea of what I'm into. I'm going overseas soon but when I return I plan to save up and buy some basic equipment and get practicing. I'm looking at 2x CDJ350's and 1x DJM350 as this seems to be a common starting platform for new guys.
