The best way to get your mac running smoothly I did this a few years ago on my old pro and it worked a charm. Try the following. .Change the latency on traktor .Clear tool bar (except for finder and traktor) .Clear your Desktop to .Delete all un nes apps .Keep power suply plugged in If your using a usb hub get a powered one. Theres a hole bunch of other shit you can get rid of like different language translator,smart playlist to name a few. But check it out online 1st I don't want you to have to re install os from trashing the wrong thing They don't sound like much but it works

You cant map a ps3 pad as a midi, fucking spent all last week looking for tips on the net. But you can use it as normal controller which works in traktor but not Serato gay

mate get a mac for that stuff, Imovie is a good start, but Final Cut comes in a cheaper version called Final Cut Express. It's pretty easy to use, you can do more with it and it's only about $270 if you fell like paying.

Stanton's are pretty dam good, If you wanna save a bit of cash their probably the alternative to the 1200's. They don't feel cheap, they last had mine for about 4 years or so used close to every day for that time and have never needed a service.
