  1. Your pagers broke Anyone?
  2. Whoops, should of said that. Mobile DJ'ing
  3. Hi all. Ok, question for all you helpful people. I'm thinking of getting a couple of B215D's OR maybe the B212D's and an active sub? I've got about $1K to spend (give or take). What do people think, or should I look at another brand? Cheers all
  4. Those Jaycar ones look pretty good. The mp3 thing would be good at the end of the night, letting you pack your other stuff up, while still playing some quiet packing up music. Would they fill a decent sized room? Would you need a sub to compliment them? Cheers
  5. Nobody like my names?
  6. LOL
  7. Ahhhh, the good old 78's. I think I have some of them around still and I know Dad does! Some of the youth of today wouldn't even know what a 7 inch single is :-)
  8. Hi all. Do many of you great people out there have official mobile dj business names? I'm thinking of registering Funky Feet Entertainment, or Funky Feet DJ's (with a similar web address). There is a DJ company in the UK called Funky Entertainment, but they have no issues with me having a similar web address and even suggested having a link to each others page (eventually). I already have an ABN from when I worked at Unley on Clyde. Thoughts? Cheers
  9. Hi all again. Well I have to say, even after only being a member for about 5 hours, reading some of the posts on here is like reading what I have been thinking and learnt over the years of DJ'ing. Its great reading some of the posts of what has happened on gigs and some of the "incidents", requests and comments. The way gig's progress through the night and the music people use to start the gig and finish it. Even after years of doing gigs (on and off) its always good to get other peoples thoughts and advice and I hope to contribute as well. Cheers all Jonno
  10. so True! Made me LOL this one!
  11. Howdy all. New to the forum, so thought I'd say G'day. Been mobile DJ'ing, on and off, for the last 10 years. Had worked at a place here in Adelaide called The Unley on Clyde (now known as the Boho Bar), for about a year, about 4-5 years ago. Have progressed from vinyl, to cd, to laptop (but still have a CD player on hand, just in case!). Will post pics of setup soon. Cheers all Jonno
  12. Hi all. First time poster here. I've had my equipment since 2001 (still got the original invoice!). Anyway, I'm thinking of replacing the equipment with powered speakers and was wondering what would give me the equivalent sound? They have served me well over the years in the mobile DJ circuit, but the speakers are not light! I'll post pics of my setup soon. It's interesting to see how my equipment has changed and progressed over the years. The first gig I ever did was with a plastic outdoor setting table and normal home stereo speakers! Cheers all Jonno
