  9. Yh when it comes to dnb pendulum are not my first thought. same story for dub I here all the cheesy shit that is rolling through and it makes me cringe. They think because it's at 70 bpm with warble it's dub which is way off the mark I wish it would have stayed underground
  10. Would have been awesome to watch it grow and progress, just to think it all originated from the amen break tell me foolish what are the dnb clubs like over there? I can't even begin to imagine compared to ours
  11. Whoa relax gandy I'm not havin a dig at you mate we are all entitled to our opinions, I belive in another thread you told foolish that the track he posted up was "the gayest shit you have heard" I'm glad to see other people interested in dub and if that's the flavour you dig then power to you brother. I just get over opinionated when it comes to the styles I mix, my problem not yours. Any way bro didn't mean to stir you up.
  12. good job caps, and well done sol :-)
  13. ect ect i can go on... not having a dig Gandy :-)
  14. yh sik aye i saw it and had to have it :-)
  15. oh now everybodys like "DUBSTEP DUBSTEP!!!!!" I tried to tell you but noooooooooooooooooo. Ive been loving dub since 1939
  16. I think the rest have covered most of it, especially foolish, good advice man. The main problems are phrasing and transitioning. To help you with the quick pre-mature transitioning, instead of using the cross fader, try using the up faders and leave the x-fader in the guts. So beatmatch your track get it back to the cue point, turn the lows off on the new track, then put the up fader to 1/3 or 1/2 way and when your ready hit play. (With the fader down like that you'll be able to make any slight nudges to fix a miss timed cue start) Now slowly over the next phrase or two, blend the songs together by brining the up fader all the way up swapping basslines, highs mids ect. Try to swap things in the flow of the two tracks, that is to say when your listen to the tune and you know there is a change that is in the tune use that to drop something out or bring something in. Also if you have filters try mucking around using the low pass and high pass, they are good to help smooth out transitions :-) In short big props to putting yourself out there it takes a lot of balls to put your shit out there for whales to criticize, so i hope my rambling rant and the good advice from the other guys help pal. + rep
  17. yh psy breaks = bangin check out http://quextal.com/ http://soundcloud.com/quextal but any breakbeat, dub or dnb are the most fun for me
  18. A trick I found to help me while i was learning to beatmatch, when you want to find out which track is going slower or faster, listen to the track you are cueing and the track thats playing, and see which one finishes 4 bars first (listen for the cymbal crash or drum breakdown ect) and that will give you the clue as to slow down or speed up the cueing track anyway works different for everybody but that worked well for me stick with it bro
  19. Yh tell me about it i tried mixing at a party on tabs and fuck me was it an effort beatmatching and song selection gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
