Don't specialise, or if you must, pick something that is mainstream, like house or electronic, the hardcore stuff will eventually become stale and you will have to really learn another genre

this happened to me with a 15" i hired from dj warehouse, i took it back while my misses set up the rest of the gear, he tried to say i blew it, so i called the party and showed it it wasnt due to start for another 3 hours... prick, they still try to send me a bill to this day
