lol tomy is right on the money, but seriously, like everyone is saying, just try and network... venue djing is all about who you know, not what you can do, its rare that a club owner will give you a job because of what you can do, venue DJ's are seen as promotors to club owners, the more people you can pull in the more money they will make, so get a crowed going on your soundcloud and or facebook/myspace/(insert other gay social networking site here)/google+ and make sure the owners know that you can pull crowds and ALWAYS i repeat ALWAYS have a fucken mixtape ready to go, and im sorry to it bro, your shit is good, but they dont wanna hear an 8 minute mix, im not taking a shot at you, but club owners wanna hear 30+ mixes, because they arent employing you for 8 min blocks it makes them think you have just taken good chunks out of your sets

ok beatport is fucked, they wont give me access to my previously purchased list (1243 of them...) i have given the fuckers over $4000 and they won't give me access, this is just going from bad to worse... guys thanks for all the support hey, but it looks like my only option is going to be to rip the songs i once had... but i dont even have a playlist! this is going to be hard...

ATM your charging roughly $20 an hour, bit of a tip, don't charge for a total fee, just go per hour bro, if you were to bump it up $10 an hour more them that would give you $50 more per party, I don't know how good you are, so I can't tell you what to charge, mobile djing isn't about how long your been gigging, its how good you are, I taught a mate of mine how to DJ and straight out he charges $50 an hour, and they think they are getting a bargain! got a demo we can here?
