Just wondering if anyone feels pressured to add more to their DJ sets? Adding bits a pieces wetha it be an accapella, instrumentals or even getting into doing lives sets to be able to stand out in the ever growing Dj scene?
Ok tight asses, I have got a couple of classics that you may or may not know. It may not be your cup of tea hell its not coming from my type of style. I will post 2 links up when we get a battle going. So shall we get 2 djs or 4? Tekstepa is obviously in since it was his idea.
I went to Ableton clinic on the weekend, it was interesting. The depth of the program is insane. To be honest i was a bit lost most of the way through but I still got a good understanding of the features and how to use it. From what I saw, unless you are going to use it for live sets aswell as production you are best to go with logic or reason. But i may be wrong.
Im more than happy to pick some songs for the battles, and i will post a link to em when i have picked em. Since I dont have my equipment I feel i need to participate some how.
you will have to work out wat sort of genres you will all be using first. So you know the songs will match the genre. eg: DnB would work with Trance and so on But if every one is doing electro, breaks, trance, minimal they all pretty much can be worked around.
Do a battle every month with who ever signs up for it. [ DJ 1] >>>>>>>>>> [winner] [ DJ 2] >>>>>>>>>> Final >>>>>> [winner] [DJ 3 ] >>>>>>>>>> [winner] [ DJ 4]
Party radio nice!!!! It would just be a bigger iTrip. I wonder if they sell them? Hook it up to your decks, I cud make a small radio station at the place im living, its all uni students.
I think if you play songs 5 times a day youll kill even the greatest of tunes. There needs to be a major electronic radio show! Im sure there is a decend demand out there for it. And Hamish and Andy are classic, they get me thru the last few hours of work.
