Hi all, I'll start off by saying I'm pretty new to the whole dj world, so be patient with any stupid questions I may ask.. What I'm after is some advice on possible set ups. Im a rock musician usually(bass, drums) but for years now I've been developing a love for scratching, like grandmaster flash, dxm, mix master mike, I think u get the style I mean, and now I've had enuf of waiting and want to start doing it my self, I'm not starting dj'ing to play clubs or that(never know in the future thou) more so for my own pleasure. I want the most practical for what I want to do, which from what I've read vinyl is best for scratching, but I don't really want to be shelling out for dozens and dozens of vinyls, but is it possible to get the same sound from a cdj? I'm planing to spend around $1500 max Any advice would be appreciated Thanks
