i forgot to mention though, up until the last transition of the night i was still so nervous haha it didn't go away after i started lol

hahahahaha Vaughn lol yea im a chick but yeah i think my lack of confidence stemmed from the fact i had a nightmare last night about fucking it up really bad but it worked out and went great thanks guys

All in all it went really well but this is what went down; Got to the hall at about 6pm and had pretty much set up completely set up by 6:30pm just to realise I had left my headphones at home haha wasn't a good start but I got my mum to drive home and she was back by 7pm. I stared to play at about 7:15 and most people didn't start rocking up until about 8. All the transitions were pretty good, no bad mistakes so nothing the crowd noticed. Before I stopped for cake time and singing happy birthday i did a genre change to dub step for one song (which had been requested by the host). I then also started the next bit with a genre change. I had planned the two parts so i knew what i was doing Just continued mixing until about 11:30. Everything went really smooth with hardly anything going wrong. The only transition that was fucked up was done by a friend of mine who has mixed a few times, he accidentally clicked the pause button but at this point there was almost no one there and no one turned around so i doubt anyone noticed. One down fall of the night was people kept asking me to turn the music up, it was really loud though and the parents didn't want it any louder. Either way my speakers were on full and mixer was in orange so I couldn't do anything. The people who asked were idiots because it was so loud anyway but they were not fussed I wouldn't turn it up. Thanks so much for all the ADJF love and your confidence in me. I proved myself wrong tonight, I thought I would be a lot worse but I'm really happy with how it went <3 here are some pics just from my phone (so sorry for the quality but they've got some effects people added) but not many were taken with the good camera and those ones aren't that good so not sure if i'll post any more or not but here are a few xxx <3

well im not an expert at all lol but i use my controler the same way as i use 2 cdj's and a mixer and never used sync so i dont see the big problem with it

nah this party is going to be very tame which is kinda y I'm nervous. its a 16th with all a seccy and 0% alcohol tolerance and its rly strict so everyones going to be alert and in a hall so idk :/ yea but ill load myself up with energy drinks for the night

So I have my first gig coming up and probably mainly doing intro/outro mixing, I was wondering what tips everyone has to make it look like you're doing something all the to time entertain the crowd and to make it look like what you are doing is involved and that you you are doing a lot. Cheers
