If i had my time back I'd probably go the dvs route with 1000's. and I was actually thinking about doing it before. but i feel dumb downgrading from 900's when everywhere will have them in the next 1-2 years so I wont be using a laptop anyway.
-
a DJM 800 for $900 is definitely legit. They go new for $1400-1500. with the whole italy thing i'm not going to comment, just going to say the price is fair.
-
I usually watch them for the hot sluts in the vids.
-
yeah good point, guess that's what it comes down too lol.
-
yo cap I think those i7's are bit overkill lol, especially for serato. i5 laptop either pc or mac with 4gbs of ram is way more than enough. dont forget people were running traktor and serato years ago on min spec shitty laptops (compared to the ones out now) and it's been working fine.
-
lol like dj bl3nd? Hate that little fag. chicks in his vids are hot though, give him props for that.
-
if your budget is $1800 deffs get a mac, if under $1000 get a pc. I've got a pc because i only allocated around $700 to it.

smoke enhances lighting effects.

no he was just crossfading.

check it out if you haven't already. this kid is like 17 apparently as well. I've been keeping an eye on him for a while now cause i was diggin' his raise your weapon remix when it was released. check out some of his remixes in his channel too, some good stuff there.

dude he's a beginner, that's exactly what he should be focusing on is mixing the intro's and outros. We've said it a million times in other threads before and he's still trying to do mashups or some shit. i'm not saying what he should or shouldn't be doing, i'm saying what it sounds like he is doing... yeah that's why im getting fkn pissed lol, we've told him many times what mixing is and he's still trying to do mashups n shit.

dude i still don't think you understand....... just mix the the last 1 min of dirty talk into the first 1 min of bounce. like it has been said a million times you can mix nearly all EDM tracks together. When you mix it's all about the transitions between each song.

lol, unfortunetly sol is right. for mobile gigs all people care about it lighting and effects.
-
most of the time people selling their whole dj set overprice the shit out of it, need to do your research and find out what the average prices of the gear is and work out if it's worth it. don't just buy second hand without doing research.
-
dont know how much Numark DXM09 are worth but a pair of cdj 800's go for around $800-$1000.
-
yeah that's good because then you can transition onto cdj's easily and use it as a dvs for mobile gigs controlling traktor. edit: although you really need to evaluate your goals. If you are forever going to be a mobile dj then get the controller. If you want to be a club/mobile dj then get cdj's.
-
nothing like being informed... anyway, my honest opinion is that I think you should buy CDJ400's and a 2 chanel mixer (prob a djm400) and here is why: 1 -2nd hand, they should fit your budget 2- you can mix cd's and learn "the art" of beatmatching 3 - you can use them as controllers for traktor 4 - this setup is easily portable, and road cases are easily available 5 - you can integrate them with a DVS system down the track 6 - they have an inbuilt sound card so you can use one as a sound card for itunes when you're lazy or having a break. 7 - they are similar to cdj1000s etc and you will feel confident in a club, if you choose to get gigs when you're older 8 - they are still professional bits of equipment, and don't the same stigma as a controller 9 - If you get sick of them, and find they aren't for you then you won't lose much money (if any) if you sell them 10 - I can't think of a 10th reason anyway, thats my opinion.... at the end of the day, it's your money agree with lloydc 100% just get some second hand cdj 400's/350's or 800's and a djm 400 or xone 22. Then you can use traktor with timecode if you want to use a laptop with it. It's easy to transport in a roadcase and you can transition to clubs easy as lloydc mentioned. No brainer really.

Kunter:Bunt - Funk the Crowd EP **OUT NOW**

Love a bit of kunter. what a boss name. -
but that's why I bought all my pio gear.

I like that wild nights comp actually, I might pick that up. I usually just write compilation tracklists down and get them individually cause usually it's all pre-mixed. I used to get it ages ago when i was in high school and it was pretty horrible, looks pretty decent now.

just go on the mos website.
