  1. Me first gig I ripped the knob off one of the channel faders I've done a gig where the mixer didn't have any knobs from channel faders just the little bits of metal sticking out. Didn't make much of a difference but was still hilarious haha.
  2. he's kinda right though gear fucks up all the time, I've been caught a few times now where the cdj's have been freezing n shit like that.
  3. yeah just bring a DVS and timecode CD's. f that.
  4. +rep
  5. That's pretty fkn sick for up in north qld.
  6. id probably enjoy listening to it if i was taking acid and some googs.
  7. ahha yeah i thought he looked familiar. was going to post something about it.
  8. The last point you make with being super last minute is pretty important. I Found that applies even with setting up a laptop using a DVS with the clubs cdj's and/or TT's. Bringing a pre-mixed cd is also essential like you said.
  9. eh i dont really see the point of using a DVS when you can just plug in a usb or hard drive into 900/2000's analysed and organised through rekordbox. It's why I bought my 900's anyway. Too bad alot of the places i play at still using 1000's. don't get me wrong, 1000's are still great cd'dj's. cwutididthar.
  10. probably spinnin rec or vicious.
  11. dam, too bad. I'd probably buy it if you only used it for 1 hour. good luck in selling it brah.
  12. doing that kind of stuff on the fly isn't producing, it's mashups and bootlegs on the fly. Also most of the time effects and crappy tricks ruin the tracks unless you are pro. like everyone else said here all you need is the cdj's and mixer. Maybe a DVS if you want to use a pc to find your tracks easily.
  13. haha i wish second hand dj gear worked like that bro. 99% of the stuff selling for second hand goes for like 10-20% off RRP. so dumb. It's why i bought most of my shit new because it was nearly the same price.
  14. yeah new.
  15. eh thats how much they SHOULD be second hand. dont they got for like 1700 or $1800 nowdays?
  16. yeah I've ended up taking all these track names down posted here as well as going through ukf's youtube channel and taking down the top viewed ones lol.
  17. yeah bro i hate the pricing standards of second hand dj gear. I know when its pio or xone ect ect, it's usually in really good condition because they are made well. But still like $100-$200 off for something around the $1400-$2000 price range is stupid
  18. thanks brah <3
  19. yeah i don't even bother trying to mix with in or out with a loop when i play out with cdj 1000's. but I do see where you are coming from jaz. But i dont think you will find any 850's second hand.
  20. Can you play that Skrillex song, you know, the one that goes BWOMP WOMP WAMP WOMP WOMP BWOMP WOMP! yeah i know that one, goes good.
  21. Because they're new, and ugly as fuck. haha this. also no pro dj link is fucked. means you need 2 usb's with the same shit on it.
  22. I'm a bit late to the party and just started to drop some dubstep so im abit behind. I'm thinking about dropping a couple of tracks every so often in my sets. Could anyone post some mainstream/popular dubsteps tracks at the moment to help me out? At the moment all I've got is a couple of skrillex remixes.
  23. Fixed haha, I actually don't get that many requests..... funnily enough i get more idiots trying to request when i play out than I do at partys. Luckily i have no obligation to play their requests when im out so i do the old "yeah i'll play it later" but never do.
  24. yeah holy shit, i had to reject a few gigs when I started out because i didn't have my table cloth organised.
