Love them, pain in the ass to mix in and out of loops using it on other cdj's. The chances of you getting it 100% is slim and then you need to massively compensate with the jog wheel while you mix in or out even if you get it close. The problem is people using laptops and automxing, quantized loops are fine and are the least of dj's worries in terms of the art dumbing down. Actually what pisses my off even more is people using laptops with cdj 900's and 2000's when they play out. I don't get it.

In terms of playing out at venues I dont think i have ever seen any local DJ's use hot cues. Only pro's. It's pretty much useless because unless you have cdj 1000's at home with sd cards to save them pre-gig. With that being said you would hardly use it even with mobile gigs. If i was you the fact that the 1000's have hot cues would not influence my decision.

Don't want to sound like a dick but theres about 10000 threads about this on every dj forum on the internet, including this one. anyway good beginner setup is second hand cdj 400's or cdj 800's mk2 if you prefer the bigger platter and djm 400 or xone 22 for a cheap 2 channel mixer. I've only been on this site a few months now and I think i have suggested these beginner setups atleast 3-4 times now lol. edit: actually there's the same question a few threads down on this page.......you really need to read bro.

depends, but you will have to get it done. I used a sparky my family uses for everything so he did it for like $30 for me. We've known him for years though. Might be someone here who used a random electrician. Think the price would depend on how many cables you have/how long it takes them to do it obviously.

Looking at getting a new CD wallet to replace my jing jey shitty $20 one. As I will probably be gigging with it regularly now. I've been looking at UDG and slappa. Only problem I've got with slappa is that the 2 slots on 1 pocket side is awesome so you can put in a tracklisting in it's own slot, but it means I can only have half the capacity. And if I wanted to put 2 cd's in that one side I wouldn't be able to fit in tracklist because I wouldn't be able to see the back one Might be looking at getting the UDG tank 240. What do you guys use/think? I'll probably selling my DVS to fund it so price isn't an issue.
