thanks for listening last night if you did. i know i seen Mitchnmatch in the chat room

hahaha thats not a good start i guess.... mac is probably more stable...if your going to be playing out in clubs i suggest a mac book pro so be ready to part with some serious cash, which i know isn't the desired outcome but.... if you want the goods sadly you have to pay for them.

you should of done this then. makes everything run so much better http://www.audiocourses.com/article309.html

yeh its abit of a pain, i'm pretty accepting with it though like if they say they have to setup i'll building my setup and finish 10mins early then just play something a little bit more relaxed so they know its a change of dj that one way i tackel it at the moment
-
yeh i'll be playing some funky breaks then a massive block of electro cos i feel like shit. haha
-
house/ prog house / electro and long as it has some energy there's no real way of telling how many listeners i get... the manager might know i'll ask him tonight

Rather than taking the glory away from the underground thread i though i would post my things in here. I run a weekly radio show mondays 9pm-11pm called HORROR DISCO on Switch 1197am (listen online at http://www.switch1197.com) Have a listen tell me what you think. Also being a communittee radio station any one that wants to sign up as a member would be AWESOME its only $20 a year and it helps keeps things going. send me your tracks / mixes. Always keen to listen to up and commers demos. you can post a link to your mix in this thread or PM me. also include past gigs if any and where your currently playing. If the mix gets played on air i will also post it on the HD blog. http://www.horror-disco.blogspot.com any more info needed just ask.

i'm pretty sure the underground exposed is a comp. i'm just taking demo's for air play. if there not up to scratch they dont get played though not up to scratch = droped beats, bad/clashing mixes and cheesey shit there are a few styles i look for as long as there is a bit of energy in it & good song selection. i dont play hardstyle / trance / hardcore (the underground does) will play breaks / house / prog house / electro or if you want to hear what gets played... listen to the show.... www.switch1197.com

i reckon new pioneer cdj's will more than likely have a usb port. i think the new 400 does? something to look forward to? i think i'll still used CD's though.
-
yeh true how much for the lot? house & electro
-
sweet i'll have a read though and pick out a few / heap. Always keen to build on my vinyl collection
-
Ok so we all know you could probably torrent pretty much anything these days (http://www.magesy.us/) but there are some good totaly free VST's about i'll kick things off with DigiDrum Pro its not too shabby for sorting out your drums so good features indeed you can download it here http://digidrum-pro.software.informer.com/

still got most of that house/electro vinyl?
-
VIP is a great idea, gets people involed. no too sure on what can be in there... :S
-
where is D4D? plus send me your labels tracks / put my on the labels mailing list for some air play.
-
yeh much quicker, i've done some opening sets and about 15 mins before the end the next guy will come in a walk around the decks/mixer pluging shit in and setting up his laptop stand etc... most annoying fucking thing ever. if you do use serato make it so all you have to do is plug in and play.
-
no i wouldn't think so. i'm pretty sure it would be open to pretty much and australian dj's but i'm not 100% on that. i'm also looking for up and coming talent to play their mix's on my show. you can listen to the station online all day at www.switch1197.com its pretty good station.
-
I'm a big fan of cd's. i dont really like using serato/laptop i think for a crowd it can be boring, no energy etc. i think serato if great though. i burn 6 tracks a cd. i've numbered all my cds from 01 to 250 something whatever i'm up to. it helps commit to memory where abouts tracks are. I put all my acapella's on separte disc's for quick access. dont really worry much about bpm or key but i keep my breaks in a different CD wallet.
-
must be Andy.... howdy mate. i run a radio show at the same station. The underground is a pretty decent show. covers a pretty wide range of tunes etc. i suggest jump on board. Is this mainly for harder styles of dance ?
-
fits nice in yor room there
-
just buy technics there club standard, plus there bloody good. at least you know when you get into a club it will be the same as your own setup. ive played on AA and must say i didn't really enjoy them too much but each to their own i guess. they are a decent turntable for the price
-
i've heard really good things about Asus. Toshiba is cheap, not a bad price. i run ableton on my PC laptop so far so good
-
where the hell is it? audio effects?
-
i use ableton. for production at the moment. and also for mixing tunes for my radio show. because its quicker than recording it.
