  9. i'm doing EMP at SAE in brisbane at the moment. it is quite $$ i guess for such a short course. Its very informative, but i really think it comes down to your lecturer. The teacher we have for SAE is really really good and i've learnt so much from him just in the first few weeks. i've had about 2 years of playing about producing writing songs with friends etc. so far the course has been great.
  10. oh forgot to mention. you wont have to pay for travel or accom.

  14. yeh good point man. if you've got all your gear in there also ie. computer, compressor, speakers etc. your probably going to need aircon to stop your shit over heating, and man boob sweat.
  15. i got one on finance... then after that decided that the interest was bullshit so bought the other one from JB-hi-fi for $1500..... cant get that price at the moment though... prices are crazy atm.
  16. sounds interesting man, will love to hear the sound of recordings when its done. are you putting in insulated walls? when i used to be in a band we had a jam room, it was pretty big 4x6m maybe? then we had like that thinkish ply stuff with all the little holes in it. then carpet underlay behind it... worked ok. you may need some sort of dampener on the ceiling though depending on height,
  17. sweet. i'm interested.
  18. i have two of these, i must say i wouldn't really settle for anything else.

  22. I'm looking at building one of these Synths http://www.paia.com/proddetail.asp?prod=9308KP Probably will go for the desktop version. Has any one on the forums had experanice building synths? the synth itself will be fine but its the mods i want to do that will be the trouble.... ie, want to be able to patch it to another module. I have built a voice modulator before with no troubles but its moding the thing that gets confusing following circut diagrams... some mods here http://home1.gte.net/res0658s/fatman/
