  1. new addition to the family. I haven't had a good chance to get some good stuff running through it as of yet but x-mas holidays it will get a bashing.
  2. sounds cool. survey complete.
  3. just install into a different directory i would have thought. the only issue i can see is your audio card. you'll need 2 or something that can do dual sound.
  4. not sure about jbridge on mac, use it to convert any 32 bit so i can use it on my 64 bit PC its the simplest way. otherwise just go where you bought the synth a re-download the 64 bit version. i recently had to do that as i converted back to a 64bit PC. most companys these days your able to do it Native instruments service centre was a god sent.
  5. so your running 64 bit trying to use 32bit? a program called Jbrisge is probably what your after. it can convert 32 bit to 64 for you
  6. Compression techniques for your drums drum compression technique which is the same as the one in the book "mixing with your mind". This guy discusses it at length, i did find another one that quickly goes through it but now i can't find it alright overview on multi banding your kick
  7. this is gold. I use NY style parallel compression shit loads in our mix downs. gives everything a really nice body and shine.
  8. will be throwing up some good vids on mixdown techniques as i come across them. if you find something good feel free to add it in here. interesting idea here, i haven't tried it out just yet but very keen to give it a whirl. not an amazing video but it gives a good overview as to what goes into vocal recording & processing.
  9. i'm thinking of getting 10 done of something released on hi-tech just gotta pick which one.
  10. yerahhhhhhh son

    imovie

no word of a lie, it's so difficult to use and i haven't been able to find any worth while tutorial as of yet
  12. yo peeps, here's the teaser vid for our new one. http://www.beatport.com/release/the-bomb/1182739

    imovie

    its an absolute WHALE.
  14. I think apples greatest achievement would be in marketing and supply and demand - tactics? i guess you could call it? they make some cool stuff though
  15. Tomy

    imovie

is it just me, or is imovie quite possibly the worst, non-user friendly program
  16. my collection is about 250 strong but i haven't bought many for years.
  17. steer clear of the update if your on pro tools, or any other avid programs for that matter.
  18. yes indeed, the ep was finished about a month ago, takes a few weeks for mastering promo etc. i'm really vibing it though. so cool
  19. LooseChange have come out firing for their first official release. The 3 lads from NSW that make up LooseChange are clearly killing it as of late racking up some serious gigs through NSW including the highly revered Chinese Laundry. The four track stutter EP is full of deep, dark & grimy techno with some seriously punishing beats behind it all and also crossing over into the trap arena for all of y'all that are still mad twerkin. Get your ears around it & involved! http://www.beatport.com/release/stutter-ep/1183510 https://soundcloud.com/hi-techrecords/stutter https://soundcloud.com/hi-techrecords/reality https://soundcloud.com/hi-techrecords/gods-gift https://soundcloud.com/hi-techrecords/loosechange-can-you-hear
  20. looks good. not sure if i'll upgrade though..... tough decision.
  21. this shouldn't be a "DJ" list. It should be a top 100 "artist" list. Because avicii is one of the worst things I've ever seen on 2 decks.
  22. 100% correct. i wouldn't for a second think that this is because of the dj / dance community unfortunately
  23. looks interesting. bitwig will have the same feature online but not for a while by the looks of it. we just collect and save from ableton into dropbox so it automatically updates the file every time you save. seems to work ok for us.
  24. looks pretty cool. nice and simple if your not too crash hot with the compressor
  25. time to add some of the books i've read then this book is really great, a bit more focused on recording & bands but some seriously good techniques and info in there I'm constantly referencing this one. I bought the hard copy but you can get a PDF version. Has a really good section on compression http://www.mixingwithyourmind.com/
