  1. did a quick blog post. not the greatest tracks about to be fair http://horrordisco.com/halloween-special/
  2. Halloween staples for me are generally that remix of ghost busters theme and a remix of thriller.
  3. motivation comes and goes. I've been dj-ing and producing for a bit over 8 years now. I've had all the ups and downs you could imagine i find setting goals is a good way. Ie pick the next club you want to play at and work towards it. try and be realistic with your goals too but be like "i wanna play ibiza next year" pick something local and work towards it. think stepping stones to you ultimate goal i guess. also don't be afraid to lack motivation either. it does get hard working full time and working on tunes, mixtapes, production, etc. if you find your lacking motivation then have a holiday from dj-ing. give yourself 1-2 weeks to just do nothing, make sure you set aside a re-start date and time that you stick to to get your motor running again after the break. good luck.
  4. shameless plug https://soundcloud.com/slop-rock/butterfly-bounce-slop-rock-bootleg https://soundcloud.com/slop-rock/dirty-south-danic-sick https://soundcloud.com/slop-rock/what-so-not-rl-grime-will https://soundcloud.com/slop-rock/the-only-inxs-just-keep
  5. please sue that un-funny blog.
  6. well you can take the pitbull one out of there. certainly wasn't written for him.
  7. I've generally always started with a kick and drums first but over the years I've noticed it can sometimes bog you down and stifle inspiration. i really think without a good melody you don't have much of a song (depending on genre i guess) if you write a dope melody off the bat then the rest will be easy.
  8. will be interested to see what they does with the keyboard, hopefully something different to the norm.
  9. i think it mainly because they are easier to use. Sylenth, Massive, nexus get good results quickly where as stuff like FM8 & absynth are a touch more involved when it comes to creating sounds.
  10. if they are going to blame anyone for harlem shake it should be youtube
  11. thanks for the heads up lads, i'll talk to the label and see whats what. bigger thanks for buying it. proper legends!
  12. akai mpk49 goes alright, keys are very keyboard style but the whole unit is super robust and versatile i really like the semi weighted keys on the axiom pro check that out if your that way inclined.
  13. got a stream up for any tight arses. https://soundcloud.com/slop-rock/sets/synergy-lp enjoy *** edit use this link as you can't embed sets on the forum. https://soundcloud.com/slop-rock/sets/synergy-lp
  14. exact point as in a starting point of the track? are you trying to wrap the track? can always just zoom in the point in question and add a marker by double clicking in the grey bar then set 1.1.1. from here or what ever it is your trying to do. use EQ8 to cut the bass and whatever else out or if its just the bass you could use a Autofilter set to high pass
  15. shitty headphones, so i'm not too surprised. Thats a profit margin of about 90% on the base model. bulk coin.
  16. what the hell did they make everyone do?
  17. links for both the charts from wiki "here and here" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:MajorScales.svg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:MinorScale.svg

  23. everyone pulls their own stuff down and so they should, you have to to protect your profits etc. from running a couple of small labels its amazing how much of an impact it makes if i take down all the illegal stuff down from zippy share etc. its like people think that it costs nothing to run a label or be an artist, really pisses me off.
