I think they do, I've read reviews that say they are a bit to boomy but I find that it goes well with most of my music. Plus I got them for $279 brand new so I couldn't really complain anyways.

Yeah they are but for me its worth it for the extra bass.

Just built myself this new desk for all my gear. I just took the legs off an old table and built the desk to go on top. Eventually I plan on painting it and making some monitor stands, probably whenever I get a chance to go to an ikea.

I like the look of the K2, looks like it could be a great portable all in one unit.

I have only had them at low volume when I was just using them for background music so I am not really sure. I just played around with different voumes a bit and I did notice that the bass did seem to drop faster than the mids and high while turning them down. But at the volume that I usually mix at I don't notice any problems.

So a few people asked about the M-Audio BX8A's that I bought so I'm just going to write up a quick bit about them. First off I have very little experience with studio monitors and high end audio so keep that in mind if you are basing a purchase off of my opinion. At the moment all I own is a couple sets of logitech's and one Behringer B300 that I use for parties. I have to say that these are probably the best speakers I have listened to that werent in a club or bar. The 8" woofer delivers enough bass that I don't feel the need for a subwoofer and has a much nicer punch than any basic computer or home theater sub has. For the price they are on sale for a Store DJ I would recommend them to anyone who does not have a decent set of speakers yet. At full price I think I may have looked at the KRK RP6G2's or something along that line.

I found disabling ACPI compliant control (battery control) and WIFI made most of my problems go away, and like mitch_fudd said CCleaner will also help run your whole computer run better. But no matter what I did my PC just didn't run my S4 as I thought it should be. I never thought I would do it but I finally just sucked it up and bought a mac. At first I didn't want to hear it because they are just so damn expensive and I generally just don't like apple, but everything now runs exactly as it should.

I had never considered quantized loops as cheating, just a small nice feature to save you a bit of time. Unlike using sync which eliminates one of the most frustrating parts about learning to DJ that we all spent hours and hours learning. Plus we all know that any DJ that has to use sync will never get anywhere anyways and should just be ignored.

I was thinking the same thing, or maybe some 900's if I get a good return. Would have to be used either way though because my laptop is dying and needs to be replaced as well.

Im thinking a 15" Macbook Pro and a set of 5 or 6 inch Studio Monitors. Or a pair of CDJ's and a cheaper laptop. Having a tough time deciding. Anyone else blowing there tax money on DJ gear?

I just love the music so much that I thought "hey instead of paying to go to the clubs to listen to the music maybe I could practice enough that I could get payed to go instead" plus I have so much fun practicing that I don't really care if I get good enough to every play in a club anyways.
