  1. Do you think $500 is a fair price for it?
  2. Here are the photo's of the sub itself and the damage. Apparently black shoe polish/scratch remover fixes this stuff up quite well. I'l probably either sharpie or p-tex over the plastic break
  3. I'll pull it out the trailer in a sec and grab some pics.
  4. Hey guys. So my New Yamaha's are insanely good. But unfortunately they severally out class my sub. There have been alot of situations where I have needed to crank up the yamaha's to fit the larger rooms, but the sub peaks at about 1/4th of the volume the yamaha's are doing. Both the sub and the speakers are 300w rms. I generally keep my gain at about 50% on the speakers, and 25% on the sub. What I want to do is sell my old sub and upgrade to this: Cerwin-Vega CVA-121X 21" 1200w RMS and sell my old sub. However doing this i'd want to sell my old sub. Which has gained a few of scratch, scuff's and bits of paint scraped off. It's in good condition with the driver and amp etc. It's just had a bit of wear and tear on the body itself. (I want to try get 500 for it, they go for 1k-1.2k new) Now what would be the best way to clean up these scuff marks etc? As I want to get it looking good so I can sell it. I'm not sure about the scuff marks, but I think using a black P-Tex candle like they use to repair snowboard bases would fix the scraped plastic. To summarise my questions: 1. Would you recommend that sub for my setup. 2. Any suggested repair methods for my old one?
  5. || Got my new yamaha's setup with my sub. Sounds SOOOOOO good
  6. I actually kind of want to make a mini one cause this one is crazy big.
  7. Same, but my mate was clearing out some of his old gear and was selling it dirt cheap.
  8. 1000w strobe 400w UV Cannon Along with a new T bar to mount them on
  9. What's your budget for speakers mate?
  10. Gota love that fucking import tax Seriously for 1k each this would have been such a good deal. Can't justify them at that price point. Especially considering the 900 NXS are only $200 more.
  11. Those will look pretty mad with a nice coat of paint.
  12. If these actually do turn out to be 1k a pair I will get some. Otherwise does anyone know if the 900 mk1's are down to 1k yet? (Even if there second hand)
  13. Apparently from what I've heard they will be 1.3k in Australia
  14. Pair of DBR15's RIP my bank account HOLY SHIT THEY ARE SO GOOD I DONT EVEN NEED MY SUB WOW.
  15. A dead one of these is what il build it in
  16. I'm gona buy a dead moonflower and take the old guts out. Can mount the bowl shit inside the shell and have it pointing out. Will look hella neat.
  17. Exactly what I was planning to do
  18. Yeah I want something that provides some bulk light for the lasers without drowning them out. Does my theory of using reflective material around the bulb to re-direct the light to focus out one point work? I'm just hoping it will actually shine pretty far on the dancefloor.
  19. Hey guys quick question. I'm in the market for a UV cannon and cant find a decently priced one in Australia. What's to stop me from finding a dead moonflower or something with a large case, removing the old components and chucking a floodlight fitting in there, then putting a high watt blacklight bulb in there and make a reflective cone around it to concentrate the light out in a single direction?
  20. Just called Store DJ and they recommend the Alto 15' truesonic over the behringers as they say the behringers are too sharp with the highs. I know our local jb stock the alto's so I might go have a listen. Still unsure about if I should trust them as a brand however.
  21. Hey guys. So I'm pretty much done with my audiolines. My original pair lasted quite some time. Unfortunate one of them blew a voice coil last year and it was cheaper to get a new individual one than fix it. Now it seems audioline have "updated" the model and they really just don't cut the mustard anymore. Don't get me wrong. they sound wicked for the price but they just don't last with this new model. Speaker 1: Amp fucked and driver no longer working half way through first gig (Other original fine) Got it replaced. Speaker 2: Fucked again, lasted a whole gig this time (Other original still fine) Got it sent away for a month and repaired. Speaker 2 round 2: Lasted 2 gigs then blew again. I'm sick of this bloody thing. and am going to go to jb and request a refund for it as I have made ample effort to get it replaced. I'm not thrashing the thing at all either, I have a 18" sub to do the work for it anyway I don't need to thrash it. As well as the other original audioline is still pumping along fine. I'm looking at upgrading to these: https://www.storedj.com.au/products/BEH-B615D I have a mate who has the 12" version and they pump hard, and blow the audiolines out of the water. I'm going up a tier to that instead of the low end behringer in the hopes that it will last longer. My 18 sub is solid as a rock. From what it seems the upper end behringer are better than the lower end of the better brands like the mackie thumps and JBL eons. Would you recommend I go down this path or choose a different speaker etc.
  22. Cupe and mitch pls
  23. For me it's just finding boss new tunes that I WANT to mix.
  24. https://soundcloud.com/tonicollision/jt-like-i-do-motez-edit Such a deep house smexy bootleg motez is crazy good
  25. So this is how the colour effects work: On the left hand side of the mixer in line with the silver knobs are 6 blue buttons with an individual effect written on them. when you push each button it will begin to flash indicating that it is active. From here you can use the grey knobs on each channel to manipulate the effect on it. (Pretty sure left is wet, right is dry). From what it sounds, the filter was active and the silver knob on said channel was to the right (High pass filter). Just make sure those buttons aren't flashing and the silver knobs are facing up towards the top of the mixer.
