You can drop it to the highest quality in the settings (320). I should see if there's any software that can analyse it or view it side by side with something else to double check.

This is dope, Mixcloud has always been pretty based. More than happy to drop $15 a month if it means streams won't get taken down etc.

I thought I'd take a moment to share my workflow with you guys from finding tunes to getting them in Rekordbox. The biggest pain for me getting back into this has been getting this sorted so I can actually get on the decks, Here is my workflow: Downloading Music - My sources are either: 1. Legally, Soundcloud, Beatport for my Hard Dance stuff etc. 2. Spotify for Sourcing and finding new tunes, looking at existing artists I like or using the "song radio" button on an existing track I like. Then downloading them "Very Legitimately". From here I will get the music from one of either two sources: - A: Deezloader Remix, download via the below link: https://www.reddit.com/r/deemix/comments/g6kc3p/download_links/ This works via another Spotify clone that has all the same tunes, but has a few exploits that allow you to download 320kbs tracks. Just Make a Deezer account and follow the instructions in Deezloader, Get your API key from your cookies, then login to Deezloader and chuck in your API key. You can now basically download everything. - B: This site, only used it abit so cant give my 100% recommendation https://free-mp3-download.net, hasn't given my laptop AIDS yet. Once I have my tunes, they all get imported into Platinum Notes to bring em all to the same volume, then I load them directly into Rekordbox while they are still in the exported folder for Plat Notes. From here, I use mixed in key on my Plat Notes folder to get everything in Camelot style, then reload the tags in Rekordbox. Hope this is of use to somebody.

Hello All! It's been a while since I've posted so I thought I'd check in again. Have been out of the industry for 2 or so years, got fed up with doing weddings and kissing promoters asses to get the smallest of club gigs. I brought some new equipment to try doing it as a passion, but I was just so burnt out at that point that I just couldn't enjoy mixing anymore. Fast forward 2 years and here we are, those 900's I brought are still untouched but I can't bring myself to sell them. So I'm having one last crack at revitalizing my desire to DJ. As a side note, I also do photography for a local radio station for their events. No cash for em only drink cards, but that's how I want it to there is no pressure if I fuck up. Currently my goals are the following: Move my Rekordbox library to my Surface Pro which I take to work everyday to find songs on my train ride home. Submit a Mini mix to my local radio station. Do some Twitch streams of me DJ'ing on Friday nights with some beers in hand. Short of this not happening, I will sell my decks and put it to bed. Can't bring myself to sell my PA or Sub though! Hey guys, Just hoping for an opinion on something. One of my wedding clients is asking for various mixes to be made of songs (X song from 0.23 till 1.10 then y from 0.56 to 1:07 etc etc) I was fine to do the first one (About 8 songs total) , however they have come back and decided that they would like changes done to the first one, plus another one made. After agency fee's, I only receive about $450 for the 5.5 hours I'm there (This gig was booked when I first started with the agency and was on a lower pay bracket). Considering it takes about an hour'ish to download all the songs, make the edits nice, make sure all the levels are okay, I think I should be able to charge for anything really over an hour (Total time spent) to do. Personally, I really hate doing it because it eats up my time after my day job too. Should I charge? What do you think is an appropriate rate for this kind of work? (Usual wedding rate is $100 an hour for my current bracket).

Not a brought but I just sold my Denons, Would rather see them go to someone cheap then have them sit under my bed for eternity. Pree much just put em and the mixer up for 500 and they were gone in seconds.

I generally do my transitions over 3 phrases. 1st Phrase: Bring in 2nd song at 50% bass on the EQ 2nd Phrase: Swap Bass EQ's so 2nd song is now on 100% and 1st song is at 50% in one motion. 3rd Phrase: Bring 1st song out.

For me it comes down to budget, The 15" macbook pro is a beast but last time I looked it was like $3k. The XPS is abit lighter on the wallet but is still a awesome machine though, Doesn't feel like a 15" laptop to hold too. I think the 15' macbook pro is a good choice as long as your okay with using adapters for ethernet and such. It really comes down to budget though.
