I know it’s I difficult industry to get into but thinking about it for some time I’ve decided to get into the mobile Dj business (basically only weddings at this stage) I’m currently using the digital Torq Xponent and have lighting + trusses however I’m at a loss on how I should go about the speakers, monitors, pc and amplification. First off, speakers. At the moment I’m just using portable items and I’m pretty sure that they won’t suffice for a paying gig. What sort of speakers + woofers + amps should I be looking at? ($500-$1000 budget) Currently using these for my home setup: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/PORTABLE-PA-DJ-P ... 5661wt_986 Pc and monitors: Rather than going laptop, I was considering building a small portable custom desktop pc powerful enough to run two monitors. The reason is that I will need an entire screen for the Torq mixing program and wanted another screen for miscellaneous (Setting up playlist on the fly etc.) Could anyone see a problem using a small desktop for the pc other than being heavy for transport etc.
