You know what? I absolutely HATED electro house. And Minimal also. I had a House radio show, (just online) and cos House was going into this Electro House movement thats what I played and my show got moved and turned into a Electro/ Tech House & Minimal show! I was so pissed off because it meaned I had to play music I didn't like. Anyways, I did it for a while (better than nothing right?), a while being I think 2 or more years and it grew on me. The genre's matured themselves and I started to find shit that I'd say "hey this is actually allright". But having that initial dislike meant that I wouldn't play BAD songs. Because there was so much I had to sift through that I thought was crap (which in all honesty was probably mediocre), but then to ONLY play the good ones which I felt EVERYONE could enjoy. Now I look back on my collection and I'm getting gigs to play that stuff, I'm producing it etc and it makes me happy because yeah, it's not my preffered genre, but I took it on as a challenge and I don't want to say I mastered it, but I acheived a level of success in it enough so to feel confident with it. At heart, I'm a House & Techno guy. I still make and play both of those also and Electro is the middle ground. But I also play DnB and Breaks and everything. I couldn't imagine being any other way because it allows me to be different ALL the time.

I disagree. I think when things are less planned they go better. But then that means lighting guys and Vjs (Whom I believe should be SHARING the stage with the Dj or Producer at a festival or club) have to be equally as talented at their craft as the Dj/ Producer is at his/ hers. Everything is so, pre-set now. Everyone knows what to expect. Laser shows, pyro shows, big LED screens, all that shit, none of it excites me anymore because thats ALL it is. EVERY big act has that now and they try to mimick it in clubs. I think too many 'Nights' are trying to copy these 'Events' and losing what it means to have a party. A party is a lot more than 7 Djs and a Vj. Any one can do that. 2 Dj's doubling as lighting guys and Vj's. .... That's going to make for a great party. Especially if they have the right synergy between them to know how eachother works and play to those pros and cons. I think events are suffering the same. Everyone is trying to put on a SHOW and everyone seems to have forgotten about parties.

I saw something similar to the violin guy when I was over seas. There's a lot of these kind of, bands doing EDM things going around now. I used to love going to a club and you'd have a dj, but then you'd have a saxophone guy or a bongo player or even a vocalist just ripping shit over the top of the set. That was good!. The guys in the Skrillex one... They're still using SOME EDM instruments. But they really have done extremely well. If they did a concert of them doing stuff like that, especially with a more 4X4 beat, (I hate dub step beats) and it was more, they're original stuff but in an electro/ dub step kind of style. I'd definately pay to see it performed live.

If I'd known that I'd of got him to post this! I was meant to go to his birthday last night but had a family thing on that I'd forgotten about He's a good Dj. If he wasn't I wouldn't have asked him to be on board for this. Come down and see him play. I have a video of him somewhere on this computer of him playing at one of the old Housing Commission gigs at Bunker Lounge in this bloody, tuxedo vest thing. Such a Gipetto.

I don't know man. I don't go to underages so if one was advertised there I wouldn't be looking up underage media to find out But no. Underages are un-viable for most liscenced premises now days. They have to cover all the booze, get security etc. Can't pay the bills on fizzy drinks and cordial ey? It's hard to spot. It's a proper "where the fuck is it?" Mission, like when you go rave hunting. Then you walk in and it's like, "ummm wheres the Dj and lights and shit?" But it's not until you walk into the back room that you find all that. Then further out the back it's like a house. So when the sun comes its as if you been at a monster house party all night and are all destroyed in the back yard. It's one of the last places where you can kinda, really have a night you'll remember.

We don't have any videos up of this gig. We have some on other pages and stuff from other gigs at other places etc but we haven't even had our openning night yet Or are you talking about the one with the donkey that I thought no one else could see :S
