  1. ahh thanks gremmy wont be moved alot but it will be moved. but majority of the time at home. thats why i was lookin more at a 15"
  2. right on. to be honest i didnt even know samsung were in the game until last start of this year. but yeah havent heard the best things about them.
  3. sol that is ridiculously cheap..quad core processor solid for 600 hehe ysm im goin all the way to the top! hehe jks.
  4. Raptor, that's unfortunate dood..i have an Asus at the moment and its been a winner. But I think so far I've gotta agree with DRC1 and GREMMIS. and DRC1 I thought the Asus was cheaper anyway. under 1400 wasn't it?? (on my phone)
  5. Who reckons the Asus And Who thinks the Toshiba. ?????
  6. Fuurrk yeeeeeh U r the
  7. Gremmy I don't need an ssd for production but also production isn't all about ur DAW use at the end of the day. But yeh its not necessary but wouldn't mind having it! Raptor 7200 next best thing.. Thanks dood! I think the Asus and the Toshiba are on top. Plus the Asus has 16gb ram which is overkill but nothin' wrong with th
  8. actually just realised u cant get an SSD that big. do u know what speed that 640gb is?
  9. cheers Raptor is the one wit the 640gb SSD as well ?
  10. as long as it does what u need it to! i had an inspiron awhile back, pretty good machine
  11. pretty keen on the asus one drc1 brought up http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/produc ... eabfe79459 and the XPS Dells that fuddzy was talking about. thats what ive narrowed it down to so far anyways. u got any ideas dood?
  12. yeah the TI (Texas Instruments) chipset is a pretty popular firewire chipset. but yeah ur right fuddzy, usb2 is the usual!
  13. yeah these days for sure. the asus i got atm is usb 2 wouldnt mind the firewire TI chipset but i dont think this asus has it. usb is fine
  14. gremmy, i use an external interface so it doesnt matter to much. Just used through usb or firewire. ysm, yeah the internal soundcard is void when using the external interface.
  15. i think the one you found in JB is a little different tho... onlinecomputers one is the 15.6" Asus N56VM R501VM JB's one is the N56VM-S3124V only realised cause the RAM amount and screen resolutions are different...still a mad deal tho!! ill be coming for that if the onlinecomputer one fails. thanks for the heads up eggs! lenovo was actually maybe on the cards..ill be sure to steer clear. appreciate that man. but i totally agree with u...this asus that i currently have is an amazing little lappy, definitely gunna hold on to it. yeah im not to keen on the samsungs either..havent heard the best things about them. ive had a few friends that have had hp's gremmy and everyone one of them were complaining about noise interference when it came to producing..they look awesome! and are also pretty cheap.
  16. this is awesome man! always love ur work son!
  17. are u talking bout the xps or the Asus sol? And they sell them at jb hifi? did u catch the price?
  18. truuuue those XPS's look bullshit. Although pretty pricy tho, i guess u get what u pay for. definitely keep in mind. To me a Bluray drive should now be standard. They are cheap now. 16Gb ram is massive and more than you will need. Plus a full HD (1080) screen on 15" monitor. An equivalently specced Dell XPS is north of $1600. And I personally like Asus Laptops (along with higher spec Dells) This is true....that asus is ridiculous...how can it be so cheap?? i love my original asus, never fails me through all the abuse. this one is lookin pretty sweet. and i can always go to there store, its on george st.
  19. karms... yeah i would usually seeing as its my company as well, but this one i want solely for music. i am so tired of buffer issues. dflux that is intense bruh...ive never really tried alienware before tho..are they more for gaming? fuddzy my last one was a dell and it was great! only thing it lacked was build quality tho.. screen hinges didnt last etc. Sol ive heard alot of good things about lenovo (producing related) but yeah that is very close to what i already have...i sorta wanna up the game if im gunna buy something new. DrC1 ive already cleaned out, i do it pretty often. still doest fix the screen size issue tho. i already have a 24" asus screen, its more for when im on the move...the 13" screen i got now(while portable) wont even fit some VST's/plugins on the screen. looking more around the 15" size.
  20. Budget around 2000 drc1 i use it for alot..not only music. heavily used for work and whatnot. its not only about its performance either I want to up the screen size. Whatever gives me the edge.
  21. Ive had this asus for bout 2 years now..time to move on. -i5 M450 2.4 CPU -4gb RAM -500gb HDD this is pretty much it here.... http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Superior_ ... ifications its just not cuttin it nemore... anyone got news on the latest?? hehe and before anyone says mac its already a no.
  22. so pro! lovin the new name and the site def!
