It wont generally work using usb hubs because in theory ur still running it through a usb3 port. other people have tried it with no luck. thanks fuddz and eggs

yeah ive tried previous to latest drivers for the audio kontrol 1. and no point updating the driver for usb3 coz ive already got the latest.

haha noooo dont glorify all the mac heads in there..! haha apparently SOME mac users with 3.0 are also having problems. but yeah i know right, a load of shuit. makes me wanna move onto another brand of interface. ive also heard windows 8 has a fix. so until then i dunno....

Just letting everyone know if they didnt know before that theres a good chance your going to have dramas with ur audio interface etc. with most of these new laptops that only have usb3.0 ports.. the new asus i bought is having all kinds of dramas with my audio kontrol 1. im in the process of attempting a fix now. let me know if any of u have the same problems.

To me a Bluray drive should now be standard. They are cheap now. 16Gb ram is massive and more than you will need. Plus a full HD (1080) screen on 15" monitor. An equivalently specced Dell XPS is north of $1600. Havent used it yet but after alooooot of searching around, its still the best deal ive found so far. and they even gave me a $50 instore discount. If your after something as powerful and dont care for the HD screen i found a lenovo at the same store that has the same specs for only $999.00 Like i said i cant find anything at that price for these specs. it seemed appealing at first, but i wanted the following: i7 8gb+ ram 1tb hi res screen decent batterylife capable of playing the odd game at decent settings bluray portable not ugly I bought a dell XPS 15 this morning and it ticks all boxes, except bluray. I was also considering going down the SSD road, or even lappys with two drives. the downfall of that was either lack of storage or cost, and when you were talking laptops with multiple drives, you were also talking 4KG or so, which kills the portability criteria... a 17" also adds size and weight the XPS was the best option, and they are doing them at $400 off at the moment, so cost me $1650 with an upgrade to windows pro true, i do rate the XPS's. i think u did alright. same reason why im going a 15" instead of 17. good find Sol ! dirt cheap... why so cheap though??
