sorry dood but i wouldnt even go off what u hear in the store. will sound completely different in everyother environment. if they are near field the sound will never travel distances as well as a hi-fi or PA system would.

Sol don't forget that the krks ur talking about could be near field monitors. When I walk away from my monitors it loses alot of depth and quality of sound.. So when ur playing them around the house and at cocktail bars it might not sound as good as u think.

awww and a friend of mine went with the Adam A7's which you pay out the ass for and we set them up together and theres no comparison interms of quality of sound. very dissapointed with the adams.

^^^for production man the real idea is to go for monitors that not only u prefer but to go for monitors that have the flattest sound...no colouring...instead of the boomier hifi sound. (that is the idea anyway...obviously depends on preference). all in all you can always train your ear to whichever speakers you choose...say the krk's are more boomier and alot more mid range then you know to decrease the low - mid range of your mix. ive had listen to monitors from high price range ADAM, MACKIES etc etc... to entry level KRK ROKITS, M AUDIO, BEHRINGER. in the end i found these! this is definitely what i reccommend... and the price for the pair is ridiculous for what you get! ^^^this. if ur using headphones the flattest sound ive heard in my opinion is the sony mdr-7506's. personal choice tho. -DAW -dont need hardware yet, but if u want to make ur life easy GET KEYS! -Speakers (monitors/headphones)

^^^ this. thats the only way ur gunna figure it out for urself man. took me months to find the right speakers! pretty much i just went into a store with my a song that i know pretty well and tested a range of monitors for a solid hour. no one can really tell u what to get..its more of a preference thing in my opinion. in my case i couldnt go past the yamaha HS 80M's. they have the flattest, non coloured sound ive eva heard. someone else might rather a boomier sound from a pair of krk's though... all preference. whats ur price range?
