Would SD cards be faster than USB's?

Has anybody used a microkorg? Can anybody give me a quick review on the unit. I'm looking to buy one for production purposes. If its not worth it then I'll just get a midi keyboard but this synth looks the real deal.

Yeah russ i had this problem too. pretty much NEARLY every sound you make will need some kind of effect on it so just play around until you find something you like. Also watch tutorials on youtube for getting a certain sound then make it your own by tweaking it

Oh okay so I may as well get a launchpad ! I'm still not sure which keys I will get this ultra nova for $350 seems tempting but I really don't know if it is a good controller! Thanks again for the replies, pads seem to be very popular for producing, I will look into the MPC's later down the track Personally for me I like having keys and a few pads but i rarely use pads. Keys are essential IMO.
