One thing I have been considering, is learning Piano? This would help with reading music and using the MIDI keyboards etc. Is this a silly idea? or do you think it would genuinely help?

Thanks all Mostly just production, maybe try a bit of DJing. I love dance/club and dubstep. also hip hop and all that. basically everything but trying to produce dub and club! Just googled aus dj forums and looked around.

Hi all, I am a new member from W.A. I have been interested in music my whole life but never really developed an ability with any instrument. But I have been using Garageband a lot lately and will be getting Ableton or Logic soon. I am still learning lots when it comes to music production, but that's why I am here.
