  1. Excuse me if I'm reading this wrongly. You will not be able to get the kick to stand out properly from a loop. The best way to do anything with drum loops is to cut them up and give each part it's own channel so you can EQ, effect etc as required.
  2. Been a long time since I posted because I got lazy making music.... finally got some motivation back and my track is sounding good. But I am using a sample track for my drums, and i can't get the kick to stand out... I am looking for ideas to make my kicks sound sweet but not have to cut every kick out of my sample track and put filters on it. If that makes sense.....? haha. I'm using logic. Cheers
  3. One of the best posts I have read on here. Got me on track with my beats again. Been a long long time since posting or trying anything new Thanks Street!
  4. Thanks guys I'll start sifling through. cheers
  5. Shweet, much appreciated. I need to use beatport more :/
  6. Not sure if I ever introduced myself, so I thought I would again even though I have been using AUSDJ for a while! Call me JB or Jbeard (whatever). I don't DJ but I have a lot of interest in it and some of my close mates do. I do however try (badly) producing. Recently got Logic and finally feel like I am getting somewhere slowly! Hopefully will have a song up soon for you so don't laugh. Cheers, JB
  7. Howdy all I was recently introduced to remix comps, but I was wondering what other ways there are to get stems? I was told a long long time ago that you could email artists and they are usually happy to send you stems? Just for odd songs or older ones etc I can't find any comps or places to get the files I neeedz. How do all the producers get there hands on these epic remixs?? JB
  8. So true Cupe, so so true!
  9. Awesome, I had just noticed this one. Pretty much was expecting to have to pay about that. Thanks for your help Chev
  10. Anything from $0-250. But would prefer around $150...
  11. Thanks heaps
  12. I am looking at getting a sound interface, I want to spend as little as possible... I need at least one MIDI input for when I get a keyboard or drum pads etc. A headphone jack and the ability to connect monitors when I get them. I want it to USB... which I think is pretty standard? I am pretty new to interfaces, this is what I have found so far but even cheaper would be awesome... https://www.storedj.com.au/products/MAU-FTRACKUSBMK2 Thanks, JB
  13. Best. Idea. Ever. Didn't even think of this, I will make an acount ASAP. I'm in!
  14. Ok, I have been thinking I need an interface for a while. i think it's time I got one...
  15. No usb? So can it be used as a MIDI as well? I take it you can go MIDI out to USB into your computer?
