  1. cost me in the long run i guess but i have no money to do 1 on 1 lessons. if i ever earn over 45k a year then ill gladly pay it back. highly competitive industry is an understatement. thinking of becoming a successful producer is an unrealistic dream but i get a degree out of it. and good knowing i can commit to something full time for a few years. I just wanna be able to make music that im actually happy with not banging my head against a wall. each to their own.
  2. just to let everyone know SAE do a BACHELOR OF AUDIO PRODUCTION which is under fee help. so even if you have no money you can do the course because the government pays for it. untill you earn over 45k you dont have to pay it back. production is too hard on your own get the government to help you become a better producer..... if production is your thing you would be silly not to. and the latest macbook pro for $500 for all NEW students.. bring it on. do it in byron bay and live on campus with the help of gillard another good option..... Any one can do the course no prerequisites easy to get into. I start in 2 weeks. yay....
  3. to the grommet gcdj. you are exactly what clubs there look for. get as prepared as you can with a few mix cds and a crew of school buddys. collect every piece of commercial crap aswell as what you like so that as soon as you turn 18 you hit all the clubs up. young fresh talent with POTENTIAL. meet all the djs and promoters and show interest. tell them you will have atlest 20 people turn up to watch you every time because thats money to them. its a young crowd surfers 25 is too old.because your so young your not so threatening. make a POINT of how you wish to produce your own tracks and they will probably help you with that once they accept you in their little circle. honestly clubs there want the really young and chicks with blond hair and fake boobs. they always get gigs. go to djblaze.fw.hu for all your commercial remixes. you cant loose. Oh and dont get drunk even though the drinks are free. be as professional as possible and dont hit on all the girls. there will be plenty of time for that once you have finnished your set. clubs dont want messy drunk and unprofessional but a kid that knows what works on the dance floor. house party s are the best training and a great way to get a fan base. good luck and put yourself out there. spam facebook friends about your next show ect..
  4. I lived on the goldy for 2 years. the best club for the music. Elsewhere when its on it has a great vibe and no cheese.good drug music. sometimes it can look like a copy of the new york club kids scene. messy fucked up rich kids and weirdos. an alternative to the fake plastic surfers scene. Sin city and vanity(bedroom), shooters.. commercial crap for 18 years old girls. lots of them though. wish i was young again. Platinum is much like family or home. brand name clubbing at its finest not really me but i dont like festivals either. East can have that IBIZA funky house vibe but be prepared to spend hundreds on drinks if you wanna hook up with the MANY pretty young and vain.. Surfers is the really young crowd, broad beach where platinum, east and casino is not so teeny bopper. just remember if you wanna stand out flash your cash. girls there expect guys to buy them drinks, Nothing is free on the gold digger coast
  5. and the death of the cdj 1000 mk3. it has been discontinued. much like the technics 1200 RIP. probably the death of manual mixing, time to let the computer do all the work. Is this the begining of the end for djs.
  6. new to the upload thing but this time it worked. I like all electronic music not just techno.....if anyone is interested.

    Hi

Hi there at ADJF, A lover of techno since the early 90s. been mixing for over 10 years now. trying the production thing now for about 6 months. keen to hook up with like minded for production and a bit of fun. nothing too serious just people to share ideas with. check out some of my work at -http://soundcloud.com/trensteele. There is lots to learn but sometimes its hard to be inspired all the time when you do it all yourself. I live upper north shore sydney and swear by Ableton live. a trully amazing program. I am a pretty chilled out kind of person so no egos or wannabees its all about having a bit of fun and learning some new little tricks. If you wanna learn how easy it is to beat mix on cdj 1000s i can do that too. peace.
