ah i dont know too much about the scene down here but there was a guy spinning dnb last night that told me all about it. He said its mostly 21+ bar events but theres some places in LA that throw down about every two weeks and they love getting talent from all over last night was sick though, had two bad transitions but the MC covered it up chea cheaaa haha

Two of my bros turned 21 yesterday so they're having a 2 day house party event. They rented out a ridiculous sound system and lighting so it should be pretty epic but If any of you happen to be in Santa Barbara, CA tonight shoot me a pm lol

Ive been listening to the Get Darker podcast a ton lately and its been blowing my mind, any of you guys into it? If so, want to post up what your favorite sets are? Big ups on the synthwork, youve got some really gnarly sounds man. I dont think its too over the top either. I like that you have a consistent heavy groove in there instead of just random ass synths and patterns like so many songs tend to have.

Yeah man I mix it down to -6 or 7 to be safe and then shelf extreme frequencies in paraeq2 then throw the whole thing into Ozone. EQ it again, add between 0 and 4% mastering reverb depending on the track. For the compressor in there I tend to keep the knee pretty moderate, nothing too ridiculous but I still have a lot to learn about that. Ozone also has harmonic excitation and I don't know the physics behind it but it sounds dope haha. Im in the same boat, still pretty amateur and I hope more people post up.

also, you can highlight multiple tracks in a folder then right click and go to properties. If they're all the same bit rate it will say what it is, if not it says multiple values. I dunno if that helps but it might make things quicker for weeding em out. *edit* reread your posts and realized this was dumb haha my bad

thanks man and i know what you mean about the vocals, it gets kind of ridiculous talking about defending colors and ritual dances and such but i just love all the deep pump up melodies plus its like a pacemaker for my feet when i run haha
