would I be able to just plug my RCA-RCA cables from the mixer to the monitors?

did they come with any cables when you bought them?

there are a pair of krk vxt 8"s on ebay that are only at $600 which I was loooking to try and get but there is still over 2 days in the auction left plus a fair few bids already, so just went with the rokits. looking at the back of them, it looks like there is both an RCA and XLR input so I should be sweet.

decided to clone gandy and go with the 8"rokits

yeah good point. i dont really rely on loops, just kinda use them as a last resort if the song is about to end and I havent got the incoming track set up yet, as well as using them to make a roll kind of effect by pressing them a few times heaps quickly before a drop to make it hit harder.

KRKs can plug straight into the mixer right? but what about laptops? as Im going to be switching from the decks to the laptop a fair bit.

i think im definitely going to be producing a lot more than playing parties so those krk monitors are the way to go.

wait so let me get this straight, monitors are designed more for production as they kinda highlight the flaws in the sound whereas speakers do the opposite, but monitors still do a good job if you are just playing at home or parties or whatever.

is that the VKT or rokit model Gandy?
