  17. There are some points where its too busy layering the instrumental with the acapella as well I reckon, for example, the drop at around 1:16. What i suggest is using the drop at 2:09 for both drops, as there is less going on and it sounds way better.
  18. Most of the time the mid-range synth stuff is still gonna have the deeper 20-200Hz bass you're talking about layered together. The mid-range stuff is just more prominent in the newer style.
  19. Forgot to mention that it helps working out the note of the sample before loading it in the editor. That way you can correctly label what note it is under the Pitch --> Key collumn
  20. Here's what you do Addi. 1.) Create and audio track, as well as a software instrument track, and select the EXS24 sampler. 2.) Drag the audio sample you want onto the audio channel. 3.) Open up the EXS24 sampler and click the "edit" button (above the volume slider in the lop left-hand corner). 4.) Drag the audio file from the audio channel and drop it into anywhere on the edit window. 5.) Save your sampler under Instrument --> Save As. If you want to get that dutch house sound though, open the EXS24 back up and play with the "glide" settings (Usually around 70-100ms is good). Playing with the portamento can also create some cool stuff. Hope that makes sense.
  21. yeah, i mainly just use compression for sidechaining purposes.
