I just asked her what exactly the audience will be doing while I am playing, should give me a better idea of what to play. If they are just mingling/talking etc I was thinking just play anything that sounds sonically good and showcases the speakers. I don't think it will be the dancefloor/put your fucking hands up/everyone singing along type gig.

I was contacted by a marketing manager who distributes the Klipsch speaker brand in Australia, who found me through triple J unearthed and has invited me to play at a media event next week but I wasn't really sure what to play. She says: "The event will be attended mostly by media from a range of industries – music, technology, sport, lifestyle so their tastes will be quite varied. For me, the main point of getting you in to play is to create atmosphere and showcase the speakers. The Klipsch brand is all about recreating the live music experience and delivering authentic sound. I guess the more music styles showcased the better and I am happy for you to take us wherever you want to go." what type of music do you reckon will be suitable?
