I saw Jones a few weeks back and I thought it was great. Played to a packed room with Lee Foss, and kept everyone dancing for the entirety of his 3 hour set. Like you said, not number 1, but still very entertaining. Maya Jane Coles should have been higher imo.

Not sure it needs a whole entire section. Also, making it have rules just means someone is going to fuck it up sooner or later and it's hard to police Why not? As for rules, you break them you get locked? That way people will make more of an effort.

What about, under the music, make a section called "Charts". Users are free to post their top 10, which will give everyone a chance. Can I suggest we make a thread in it, with "rules" about how to format, and all that jazz. At least then it will stay nice and clean, and we won't have shit everywhere.

Good point. My vote is just a sticky for a month, eg: "Cupe' Top 10 December 2011". post soundcloud links to 10 tracks, and that's it. After a month, thread gets un-sticked, the person responsible for that chart will nominate the next user and so on.

Alrighty. Do we do it as one thread, or make different ones for each month? How to choose who does the chart, and how often?

Not sure if any of you have seen it on Beatport, but each month they have a number of charts featured from notable producers and players in the industry. What my idea is, either every week/fortnight/month, we choose a user here to showcase their favourote 5 or 10 tracks that are circulating at the moment. For example, you could do something like this: Some of the tracks are old, but I'm at work so resources are somewhat limited. Andyman's Top 5 December 2011 1. Great idea Gandy. If uploading mixes, you could limit the size, to say 50mb? As for tracks, would you keep them as 320's, or lower the quality to 128?
