  1. It's kind of like a replica of your decks and mixer, that is hooked up to you your laptop. They're great, because they give you the chance to play all your music digitally, without the need to burn CD's or buy vinyl. Try serching 'Traktor S4', 'VCI-100', and 'DDJ-T1'; they are just a few of the more popular makes.
  2. Hey mate. Throw up something in the intro thread. Your equipment will depend on which path you choose to go down. Essentially, there a 3 options: 1) 2xCDJ's, Mixer & Headphones 2) 2xTurntables, Mixer, Headphones 3) MIDI Controller Keep in mind, that you can use options 1 or 2 as stand alone units, or you can incorporate them with a software package like Traktor or Serato.
  3. Send us some links and shit Sol. Also, Wynter Gordon*
  4. Let's get some more people on board! Perhaps we could then send them on again? Eh, just get involved whales, or I'll send Crundyy after you.
  5. Every time I hear a MOS CD, I find maybe 2 or 3 tracks that are good. The rest make me want to kill myself.
  6. so you mean 10+ songs on a cd, but unmixed? Yep. Last time I did this, it was with Punk/Hardcore tracks. Was great, beacause everyone tried to make their selection brilliant, so I managed to get into some really great artists through it. yeah, i'm down for this. does the whole CD have to conform to a certain genre? I think seeing as this is a DJ forum, we should try and make sure we use 320kb mp3 files from any genre of EDM. Sound fair?

  8. I'm thinking just put a dozen or so tracks on it, doesn't matter who made them, how old they are, or what genre of EDM they are. Just send through, and we might open some eyes to the different styles that are around.
  9. A few years back when I posted on another forum, we organised a group of us to partner up, and send each other a mix CD. It worked really well, and at the end of the day, everyone got a CD with 10-12 tracks that they usually wouldn't have heard before. Would anyone be keen on me organising something like this on here?
  10. Nice find. I passed on to a few friends looking to invest
  11. I'm at work, so can't open the links. Have a look: http://www.google.com.au/#hl=en&source= ... 6986326989
  12. disagree I have the DDM4000, and I'm in 2 minds about it. For the price, it's great. 4 channels, easy to use and bundled with features, however the sound quality isn't the best, and the effects are rubbish. Still, for $500 it's a pretty good 4 channel mixer.
  13. Oh dear. Killing it, but in a bad way.
  14. The Tech/Minimal one has a bit of that "Melbourne" flavour haha.
  15. He just fights whales.
  16. Wear G Star. He'll find you.
  17. Anyone care to enlighten me?
  18. What venue have you booked dude?
  19. Get JonnyB (SwissDub) down from SYD!
  20. Welcome
  21. Looks alright. Might swing past if I end up in town that weekend.
