  1. ... ...we'll see.
  2. Yep - 'allo!!
  3. Hiya, We have a new IF? release out today—the debut offering from Aussie act Conversational Dentures, called (fittingly enough) "Mouth Wash". It's IF? release #49. This one crisscrosses boundaries somewhat (yeah, yeah—so what else is new with an IF? release?), and at moments brushes up against dubstep, abstract cut-up sounds, IDM, electro, hip hop beats, and dub techno. While it's also been released as a limited edition vinyl 10-inch in Japan, it's available internationally exclusively as a digital download through Addictech: http://ifrecords.addictech.com/ Tracklisting: 1 Go Play The Atari (2:05) 2 Anything ( Someone B.I.G.remix) (5:28) 3 The Mean Reds (4:44) 4 Teeth Rattler (3:02) Hope you have time to check this one out—there're sneak previews up on Addictech so you can listen to bits and pieces, if at all curious. IF050 will be out next month, and 'tis shaping itself up as a moderate surprise.
  4. Ta, laddie!! Let's see how it fares...
  5. Ha Ha Ha... this was released today as an exclusive to Juno Download, and it scared the hell outta me - I wasn't expecting this one out till next month!! http://www.junodownload.com/products/1354347-2.htm/ Si Begg continues to rock my li'l world about 12 years after I first stumbled across his tunes on his label Mosquito... Respect. And big thanks to Simon (DJ Hi-Shock) @ Hypnotic Room in Sydney - http://www.hypnoticroom.com/ - for taking a chance and cobbling this baby together and pushing it through, and forcing me to do my own update remix of this track - only the second Little Nobody track I ever released, waaaay back in 1997.

    Hey matey...
  7. These two are relatively new netlabels run by one of Sydney's better known and longest lasting tech/trance DJs, Hi-Shock. He's also subdividing the two labels, and is being quite prolific, working with producers of trance, techno, tech-house, electro - but primarily with a focus on trance. A lot of Aussies are on there including Steve Law (Zen Paradox), Son Of Zev, Bitchshift, Dale Baldwin, TR-Storm, Sebastian Bayne, Pat Stormont, me, and others coming up. Definitely worth checking out both, as there're samples of the sounds of the releases on the two major websites: Elektrax http://www.elektraxrecordings.com/ Hypnotic Room http://www.hypnoticroom.com/
  8. So, how'd it go? Am a big Ides fan myself.

Hey Ed - I'm a fellow Melbournite, but these days living in Tokyo...
  14. Looks awesome!!
  15. OK, this is a not-so-hidden gem run by the Gonzo posse over in Leeds in the UK. What Dead Channel does is release several EPs and albums every month as online digital downloads... for FREE. I love these guys, and it's one of the reasons I release some of my own more quirky shit through them as well. Think stuff by Micoland, Ant Orange, Blackhat, Gwylo, Noisepsalm, Sofaboy, et, criss-crossing electro, techno, dubstep, jungle, experimental, dub, etc, etc. So, if you're still keen, hop along here: DEAD CHANNEL http://www.dead-channel.com/ Respect.

    Hola!

Ta mate!! Nice work getting it happening again!!
  17. Man, it's already been a prolific few weeks with our label IF?, often in collaboration with Elektrax and Hypnotic Room in Sydney. So, thought I'd drop a bit of a collective propaganda bomb here to fill you in on the (mostly) Australian releases we've been handling, all if 'em available online as digital downloads - and some of 'em even FREE!! Plus some other labels and artists' stuff... FIRST UP: (and rather self-indulgently) Little Nobody "Game Over: Reset 140" (IF? Records) I put out the Game Over in March, and it was a slow, eclectic, at times dubby/electro reconsideration of beats and breaks, asymmetrical electronic rhythms and squelching, near-acid synths. Sydney's 3D World magazine called it "Head-bending stuff that's well worth investigating." Anyway, not too long ago (over a vast amount of drinks), one of my mates over here in Tokyo, Yusuke Abe, challenged me to reboot that EP - at 140bpm, with a more up-for-it (albeit open-minded!) techno/house club in mind. Yusuke had a vested interest, as he wanted to DJ a couple of the tracks out, but thus Reset 140 was born. The outcome is obviously faster-paced, now more tech than dub, and it's available from today through our label IF? as an exclusive digital download-only release online, via Addictech here: http://ifrecords.addictech.com/ Oh, and as always there is one hack videoclip up on YouTube here: JUICE AND JELLY (RESET 140 MIX) http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=XvwsSmtF578 ===================== SECONDLY: 2008 isn’t exactly a year to be sneezed at, with a bunch of stuff emerging from locals and Aussie expats living abroad, and you can digital download the beasties from your own boudoir: SON OF ZEV – SUBMERGED EP (netlabel release) http://www.elektraxrecordings.com/elek015.html ZEN PARADOX – LIQUID SPHERES EP (netlabel release) http://www.hypnoticroom.com/HRoom014.html BLINKY – THERE’S A JESUS IN MY NECTARINE (netlabel release) http://www.beatgeekrecords.com VARIOUS – WE TOO ARE YOU (netlabel release, incl. Voiteck and Q-Kontrol) http://ifrecords.addictech.com/ D. BALDWIN – SUN OF THE MORNING (netlabel release) While Dale is from Canberra, two of the mixes here are down by Melbourne’s Bitchshift and Schlock Tactile. http://www.elektraxrecordings.com/elek014.html LITTLE NOBODY - REMEMBER RADIO EP (this one’s a FREEbie!) http://www.dead-channel.com/releases/channel013/ BITCHSHIFT - WICKED PITCH OF THE WEST released on Digiticedmusic. http://www.digiticedmusic.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=25&Itemid=26 TR-STORM - ON OUR (Z3) SELECTION https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/105457/on_our_z3_selection_ep LITTLE NOBODY - WOKLURK ORANGE http://www.hypnoticroom.com/HRoom016.html ...and that's about it fer now...
