These things always do take time to nail down and get out there - the last vinyl we just did took almost 6 months to be pressed up and released after all tracks were finished. Good luck, mates!

BEN MILL DANCEFLOOR CONFESSIONS OF A STALKER feat. SPACE DJZ + SHIN NISHIMURA [Gynoid Audio/IF?] Stuck this purring little techno baby out today in collaboration with new label Gynoid Audio (a subsidiary of Elektrax in Australia, who probably did most of the leg-work!), from Melbourne's BEN MILL - who also does one of the remixes in his BITCH SHIFT guise. Some killer tech mixes here also from SPACE DJZ, SHIN NISHIMURA (SCI+TEC/Plus Tokyo), and DJ HI-SHOCK (Elektrax) - along with the original old-skool sounding number that actually rocks my own socks. Ben himself reckons this is creeped-out atmospheric techno funk for the masses. Charted by Mark Broom (http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/markbroom/top10?chart=31362) and Space DJz (http://www.junodownload.com/charts/dj/607823-Space_djz/399083-Chart/) themselves, this one's a digital-only release you can check out on Juno Download here: http://www.junodownload.com/products/1562040-02.htm Cover's pretty nifty too.

And Dave Tarrida's remix - fucking brilliant. It's in my radio show on Sunday [www.xt3.nl]. With a little introduction from me. Wicked track." D.A.V.E. The Drummer (Hydraulix/Infectious/Eukatech, UK) "Man, Dave Tarrida's is a sick remix. Definitely vinyl material... got that dirty bass of dubstep with a bouncy techno edge, I reckon there'd be a few who'd dig that." Craig McWhinney (Global Underground/Haul Music/Nightshade, Australia) "Holy shit, this is fucking awesome. Epic work on getting Tarrida to mix it!!! Real hop'n'skip tune. VARIOUS ARTISTS IFFY BIZNESS VOL. 2 Hypnotic Room OUT THIS WEEK. Hot on the precariously high heels of celebrating 15 years on the go and their 100th release since 1995 comes this enticing second showcase compilation of Tokyo/Melbourne label IF? Records. IF? have spent the past 12 months putting out a rash of somewhat eclectic but never less than scintillating releases from Luke’s Anger, Dasha Rush, Wyndell Long, Little Nobody, Son Of Zev, DJ Fodder, Takashi Watanabe (DJ Warp), Alone Together, Enclave, Koda, Andrez Bergen, Dave Tarrida, Ben Pest, Donk Boys, Toshiyuki Yasuda and others – with great feedback arising every now and then from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Claude Young, Orlando Voorn, Jerome Hill, Ken Ishii, Anthony Shakir and Steve Poindexter. Compiled by DJ Hi-Shock and IF? label boss Andrez Bergen, ‘Iffy Bizness Vol. 2′ follows straight on from the hugely successful first compilation released last year, and explores the IF? label’s wonderful slower techno moments, the infectious tech-house they’ve slipped through, and some asides into intelligent glitch-minimalism that we actually dig – a whole lot. And most of this is made in Melbourne. Come with us to explore a global bucket-load of tunes made by talented musicians both famous and not (quite yet), conjuring up tunes in an atmosphere where the only label perimeters have always been to “do what you do best, and make what you’d prefer to make”. Innovative, fascinating, and straight out lovely – this is the future as much as it’s been the past for 15 strong years. TRACK LIST 1. Craig McWhinney – Confined Spaces 2. Enclave – Ironyism (Ben Mill remix) 3. Kultrun – Underground 4. Toshiyuki Yasuda – Pink House (Little Nobody Remix) 5. Dasha Rush – Comme La Neige (Isnod remix) 6. Tall Trees – Broken Friend (Andrez Bergen remix) 7. Wyndell Long – Inari (DJ Hi-Shock remix) 8. Zen Paradox – Mindmelt 9. Dasha Rush – Comme La Neige (E383 remix) 10. Enclave – Pulse Overture 11. Alkan – In Your Skin 12. Tall Trees – Broken Friend (Chairman of the Board remix) 13. Wyndell Long – Inari (Takashi Watanabe remix #1) 14. DJ Fodder – A Faster Round-Up SAMPLE SOUNDS, INFO, & BEATPORT LINK HERE: http://www.elektraxmusic.com/hroomcd005/

FUNK GADGET ‘BLAH BLAH’ EP – 12-inch white vinyl [slidebar Recordings, Germany] REMIXES BY SI BEGG, DAVE TARRIDA, PATRICK PULSINGER + PAUL BIRKEN Funk Gadget is a silly side-project I do for noisier electro/dubstep/cut-up stuff. So, when granted the insane opportunity to conjure up a record for Kitty Corner's sister imprint Slidebar Recordings (and this lovely white vinyl one at that), I decided to bring along a few of my like-minded mates: Si Begg (Mosquito/Tresor), Patrick Pulsinger (Cheap/Disko , Dave Tarrida (Tresor/Musick) and Paul Birken (Bonus Round/Tonewrecker). This baby's coming out this month (February 2010), but you can check out sneak preview sample sounds (and pre-order the vinyl, if it's your cuppa tea) here: http://www.deejay.de/Funk_Gadget-Blah_Blah_Ep-SLR003__483917

The Dasha one was provided by Dasha herself (we just added the logo), but the Wyndell Long one is mine. Sometimes I do it (easier, but not so great!), or we work with artists we know like Luke's Anger's girlfriend and Damian Stephens (Isnod).
